As a surfer and professional hairdresser with over 13 years in the hair industry, our founder understood firsthand how damaging the elements could be. From the beaches of Sri Lanka and Hawaii to the coastlines of Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, and Peru, one problem always remained the same: hair was constantly left dry, brittle, faded, and damaged after long days in the ocean and sun.

Despite years of professional experience and access to salon products, nothing truly delivered the protection needed for an active outdoor lifestyle. Most products felt too heavy, too greasy, or simply weren’t designed for real-life exposure to UV, saltwater, and tropical climates.

So the journey to create SUNNI began.
